It acts of an inflammatory process concerning :

  • soft tissue being in the space under-acromial (the acromion constitutes part of the scapula which one perceives at the top of the shoulder) ;
  • the tendons crossing in this space and which govern the rotational movements of the
    shoulder (three, they constitute the muscles of the cap of the rotators).

It acts of the wear of the cartilage of the articulation of the shoulder made up on a side by the head of the humerus and other side by articular surface of the scapula (called glene).

Apart from traumatic attacks, the elbow can be the origin of symptoms such as swarmings or prickles in the ring finger and the little finger by compression of the cubital nerve in its crossing of the elbow.

The exemple of affection often met in consultation : The disease of Dupuytren / Retraction of aponevrotic tissue of the hand. Anatomical structures such as the tendons which make one’s way in the hand are separated by partitions. Those which are between the flexor tendons and skin (which “fold” the fingers) retract and form true cords in the palm of the hand moving towards the fingers.
